Following Everton’s dsmal Premier League season opener, there has been pressure to fire manager Sean Dyche. However, a significanit update on the manager’s future has been announced
Everton endure tough summer
It was not the summer that many at Goodison Park had hoped for after the team had missed relegation the previous season. After selling midfielder Amadou Onana to Marseille for £50 million, Everton signed Tim Iroegbunam in his place. To strengthen their assault, they also brought in Jesper Lindstrom on loan and £15 million for star player Iliman Ndiaye.
With the addition of Jake O’Brien, Everton’s defense gained even more depth. However, the club made a huge win when they managed to hang onto young player Jarrad Branthwaite, who had a fantastic season in his Goodison Park debut. Deadline day brought two additional new players: Chelsea attacker Armando Broja and former Forest midfielder Orel Mangala, who joined on loan from Lyon.

But due to a pre-existing ailment, the latter is out until mid-October, creating a void in Everton’s attack that hasn’t been adequately filled this season by Ndiaye, Beto, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, or Youssef Chermiti.
As a result, they are currently at the bottom of the standings with no points and 13 goals given up in just four games. Traveling to Aston Villa also carried with it a familiar pain, as the Blues gave up a 2-0 lead for the second straight game, thanks to a wonderful goal from Jhon Duran.
The latest on Sean Dyche’s tenure
The Telegraph claims that despite the season’s terrible start, Dyche is not under any pressure from the Everton management, who remain confident in his ability to turn things around on Merseyside.

The statement goes on to say that Dyche “has enough credit in the bank with the Everton hierarchy to buy him considerable time,” as director of football Kevin Thelwell and majority owner Farhad Moshiri are in agreement that Dyche should stay with the team.
Prior to the match against Aston Villa, Dyche stated he wasn’t currently considering his own future.
“The primary emphasis is on the club’s larger picture. The club is still far from its desired destination. My initial idea is that we want to win games. It has nothing to do with contracts or me. To win games, my staff and the players must work together.”
It’s unclear when the decision to fire or retain the Englishman will be made.
