The construction of a McDonald’s in St. James’ Park did not rank well among the people of Bishop’s Stortford.
For developer Countryside’s 750-home estate, the fast food business and Central Co-op are the driving forces behind a “reserved matters” planning application that outlines the intended look, design, landscaping, and size of a neighborhood center.
Residents were canvassed on the proposal throughout the summer, and the outcomes are detailed in a report that was submitted with the application to East Herts Council (EHC), the planning authority.
The McDonald’s drive-through did not do well when participants were asked to choose their top three priorities after being presented with a list of nine important aspects of the proposals.
