Given how poorly the season has started thus far, Everton’s Premier League match this weekend may be as important as it gets.

In the first four games of the current Premier League season, Sean Dyche has failed to lead his team to any point.

Everton is at the bottom of the standings after letting a two-goal lead slip away from them in their most recent game, which is their second consecutive loss.

Nonetheless, there has been some good news recently, as John Textor’s Everton takeover deal is almost finished.

However, considering that Leicester City is a team that is predicted to finish at the bottom of the league, the Toffees’ matchup with them on Saturday seems to be a must-win.

Chris Sutton shares who he thinks will win between Leicester and Everton

After a terrible start, Everton is the only team in the Premier League without a point at this stage.

But three points at King Power Stadium on Saturday might propel Everton over the Foxes and off the bottom of the league.

After what appeared to be a successful summer of transfer activity, the Toffees’ present situation would be exposed if they lost this game.

Speaking in his weekly predictions piece for BBC Sport, Chris Sutton said that he believes Everton will eventually score this coming weekend.

Who do I back here then? I simply had a feeling that today may be the day that Everton’s manager, Sean Dyche, catches a break. They’re still without a point and lost to Southampton in the Carabao Cup on penalties in midweek, he added.

“He definitely needs one. I want to be very clear that Dyche shouldn’t be in danger of losing his job, but you get the impression that a good portion of Everton supporters no longer trust him and have turned against him.

“It would not go down well to suffer another defeat, especially against a team from the lower half of the table.”

Sean Dyche needs points on the board for Everton

Despite the terrible start to the new season, Dyche is said to enjoy Farhad Moshiri’s support at Everton.

Dyche could feel pressured to prove his mettle given that Textor and Goodison Park appear to be getting closer to a deal for Textor to take over as the next owner.

There will have been higher hopes than what Everton supporters have witnessed thus far following a productive summer window.

Even though supporters would want to see three points secured against a faltering Leicester team, Dyche could need to settle for one point to get things going.
