At Craven Cottage this weekend, Fulham takes on Newcastle United, who with three points would take the top spot in the Premier League.

Since Marco Silva took over, the Magpies have emerged as a kind of a bogeyman for us, but it doesn’t fully explain their performance in what are typically extremely closely contested games.

Regarding the opponents on Saturday, Silva remarked, “Very good side, strong side.” They are an extremely strong side when looking at things technically, physically, and collectively.

They feel at ease guarding their box since they are sturdy and physically strong. They are a strong team and you can tell they have some leaders in their back four.

“We must take our chances since they are formidable on both ends. You have to be merciless and seize opportunities when they present themselves.

They are aware that it will be difficult for them as well. In terms of outcomes, we didn’t have the best record against them lately.

“After analyzing the recent games we played against them, I believe that, for the most part, we performed at our level. However, outcomes usually speak louder, which is why I mentioned that while the most recent record wasn’t the best, we are going to put in a lot of effort to make it better.

“We have to write a different story and want to repeat a certain kind of performance, but with a different outcome.”

Silva’s Hull City club defeated Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth team 3-1 in his first-ever Premier League game. This was the first of many matches the two would play over the years.

Regarding his Newcastle rival, our Head Coach praised him as “very good, very good.” “We’ve been competing against one another for a while now.

“I recall playing against him at Hull in one of my first games in England, followed by Watford at Bournemouth and Everton at Bournemouth as well.” There have been some great wars over a lengthy period of time.

“Very good manager who, as you are all aware, made a huge, huge influence on Newcastle when he first arrived. The club was going through a tough time, but he totally turned things around for them, and they have been expanding ever since.

“In a team with a huge fan base, can feel the connection with him, players, and fans as well.” We have a difficult game ahead of us, but that football team is doing a really fantastic job.

“And he is well aware that it will be extremely difficult for them as well.”
