Everton has revealed plans to create a memorial “fan wall” honoring supporters and legends at the team’s new stadium.

A commemorative ‘fan wall’ at Everton Stadium is set to celebrate popular Blues figures past and present – and give thousands of supporters the opportunity to become a part of the club’s new home. Following the success of Everton Way, an initiative that gave Evertonians the chance to have a personalised stone installed outside the soon-to-open stadium’s South Stand, a mosaic artwork comprised entirely of fan photos is set to be installed on its river-facing western side.

Named ‘The Originals’, the artwork will honour Everton players who have realised unique achievements while representing the Blues and those who have truly embodied the Everton spirit on and off the pitch. Evertonians from across the world will be able to submit a photo for the wall, with the personal images set to be pieced together to create a magnificent fan-inspired mosaic.

Among the inaugural line-up of ‘Originals’ will be Dixie Dean, the club’s best ever striker, ‘The Holy Trinity’ of Alan Ball, Howard Kendall and Colin Harvey, and ‘The last of the Corinthians’, Brian Labone.

The wall will also honor Everton’s first black captain Kevin Campbell, record Premier League appearance maker Seamus Coleman, and fan favorite Tim Cahill, who scored Australia’s first-ever World Cup goal while playing for Everton.

In order to ensure that the wall honors names and eras that have inspired Evertonians of all generations, they are joined by Bob Latchford, a goalscoring hero of the 1970s, Graeme Sharp, the Blues’ highest living goalscorer, and Neville Southall, the club’s most decorated player and holder of the appearance record.

With the mosaic expected to grow, fans will have further opportunity to choose players and team names to add to “The Originals” wall in the next seasons. This will allow Blues to further integrate themselves into the 52,888-seat stadium.

The announcement of the program and its first lineup came after discussions with fan associations, such as the Club’s Fans’ Forum.

Before the open sale starts on Tuesday, October 8, spots on the Fan Wall—which cost £45 per photo—are currently available for purchase to Everton Season Ticket, Hospitality, and Official Members. A selection of souvenir souvenirs, priced at £30, are also offered, enabling supporters to commemorate securing their spot on the wall.

More information is available at evertonfc.com/FanWall for supporters looking to place their name on the wall.
