Bayern Munich has played two Champions League teams (Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa) and an emerging Europa League team (Eintracht Frankfurt) in the last eight days. Despite outperforming all three of their opponents, Bayern only managed two points from the three games.

Despite being only 38 years old, Bayern manager Vincent Kompany’s extensive playing background continues to be a source of guidance.

Kompany said to DAZN, “Let’s just stay calm.” (as piqued by @iMiaSanMia). “The team gave a fantastic performance today. We had so many opportunities. Most likely, we were due more. We need to persevere in living a simpler life, follow our own path, and have confidence that our efforts will eventually pay off. I’m full of hope. This team is not operating normally. I’ve got sufficient expertise. We will win games once more if we keep playing this way. We must maintain our composure.

When the Bayern fans don’t win every game by a score of 3-0 or more, they frequently overreact. In order to maintain the trust and support of the board and the fan base, Kompany will need to produce at least three wins to close out the month.

Has Vincent Kompany come to light? Why is Harry Kane no longer scoring goals? Is a replacement for Manuel Neuer necessary? In the most recent episode of our podcast, we address all of those topics and more, if those are questions you have! You may listen to it on Spotify or below.
