Amanda Stavely, who assisted in arranging Newcastle United’s £305 million acquisition back in 2021, may soon make an appearance at Tottenham Hotspur.
Since Staveley and her husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi sold their remaining shares in Newcastle earlier this year, Tottenham has been open to fresh investment.
Consequently, Staveley is apparently in charge of a group that has £500 million put aside to invest in a new football project and is looking to invest in Spurs.
It has been widely known in the business community since April that Daniel Levy has declared Tottenham to be accepting new investments.
Staveley’s proposal to partially acquire Tottenham recently ran into difficulties, but there appears to be enough hope that a deal may be reached.

In fact, according to The Sun, Eddie Howe may be at the top of Tottenham’s managerial shortlist if Staveley and her backers successfully arrange a transfer to north London.
If these are accurate, Howe is also being considered by the FA to become the new manager of England at this time.
But the compensation payments required to entice the Newcastle manager away from a deal on Tyneside that is reportedly set to expire in 2027 would just be too costly for the FA.
That being said, should things not get better under Ange Postecoglou, Staveley and company may not have any problems if they show up in N17.
According to the article, Staveley is a “huge fan” of Howe, who Pep Guardiola has previously called a “genius.”
And following a patchy start to his Tottenham career, Postecoglou may face further changes if things do not improve.
Nevertheless, the newspaper acknowledges that any partial acquisition may not be finalised for weeks.

Of course, it would be quite cruel to dismiss Postecoglou in the near future—a manager who is making such a great effort to alter the existing quo in north London.
The Spurs team still need significant investment if it is to meet the lofty expectations of manager Postecoglou—a guy who is undoubtedly ambitious.
It wouldn’t necessarily make sense to rush to bring Howe in either, considering Tottenham’s goal of consistently winning trophies.
Despite a cash infusion, the Englishman has performed admirably at Newcastle, gradually strengthening his team.
He hasn’t yet presented a prize, though, so it would be shocking if Postecoglou were fired at his cost.
