Cristian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur hopes to play for Club Atlético Belgrano in the future.

Rosa, the mother of the Tottenham player, stated as much in an interview with Radio Sucesos. TNT Sports reports on her remarks.

From 2014 to 2016, the Argentine international was a member of the Belgrano academy. He made 19 appearances for them after being promoted to their senior squad in 2016.

When Romero was recruited by Genoa from the Argentine club in 2018, he left his homeland. In August 2021, following a stint in Italy, he joined Tottenham. After first signing him on loan from Atalanta, the Premier League team decided to make his stay permanent a year later.

With a contract that runs until 2027, the Copa América winner has been a mainstay at Spurs. According to recent reports, Real Madrid wants to try to sign him next summer.
He intends to return to Belgrano in the future, according to the South American’s mother, who is still hopeful that the Tottenham player would do so.

He still loves Belgrano, and he has always dreamed of succeeding there. He will undoubtedly answer the question, she said.

Romero has performed well for Argentina and Tottenham. Despite his mother’s admission, it seems unlikely that he will be able to return to Belgrano very soon.
