When Celtic signed Adam Idah on a permanent basis in the summer, many people’s dreams came true.
In January, the Republic of Ireland international moved from Norwich City to Celtic on a six-month loan, and he quickly rose to prominence as a player.
There was a rush to get Idah in after he scored the game-winning goal against Rangers in the Scottish Cup final, along with numerous other significant goals.
Although Hyeongyu Oh was Celtic’s backup striker at the time, he failed to provide spark to the game and eventually signed a contract with Genk.
It was therefore much more logical for the Bhoys to bring Idah in to challenge Kyogo Furuhashi, the primary man, in addition to adding quality to the bench.
Even though the season is still early and there are still a lot of crucial games to go, doubts are starting to surface in the present.
John Hartson questions Adam Idah’s Celtic transfer
A Celtics supporter called Go Radio to voice their disapproval of Idah as a player and the reason the team signed him this summer.
John Hartson, who was available to hear the call, was rather harsh in his own judgement and did not disagree with that point of view.
Idah has a lot of opportunities to disprove his detractors because he has been selected to play against Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

That might, in my opinion, occasionally undermine your confidence. I won’t be too critical of him, but I’m not sure who else Celtic had their sights set on the previous season. He was £9 million.
