Corey Parker, a former Broncos player, has noted that Latrell Mitchell’s recent silence is a positive sign, as the fullback appears to be fit and ready for the 2025 season under new coach Wayne Bennett. Mitchell’s 2024 season was tumultuous, marked by a foot injury and a suspension related to a photo controversy that marred the club.

Despite challenges, Bennett has pledged to support Mitchell, and Parker mentioned that recent photos show the 27-year-old looking fit. Parker expressed optimism about Mitchell’s preparation, stating, “I haven’t heard much from Latrell, which is a good thing. He seems to be focusing on his fitness.”

Mitchell was unable to fully participate in training due to his injury but is expected to maintain his shape as he gears up for the new season, which will also see him serving a one-game suspension. Bennett’s return aims to steer the Rabbitohs back into playoff contention after two seasons of underperformance. Notably, Mitchell was left out of the Kangaroos squad for the Pacific Championship due to fitness concerns, which might serve as motivation for his come back.
