In anticipation of the upcoming Farsley vs Darlington match at Buxton, we are reminding fans of our expectations for respectful conduct.
Following an incident of misogynistic behavior at a Scarborough match in January 2023, the FA has required us to continue with an extensive action plan aimed at preventing discrimination, with the threat of potential sanctions still in place.
We urge all supporters to avoid any form of discriminatory behavior, including racist, misogynist, homophobic, or sexist actions, chants, or displays of offensive banners or flags, whether at home or away games. Darlington FC is committed to a zero-tolerance approach to any such behavior.
Additionally, fans are reminded of National League rules regarding pyrotechnics, as well as Football (Offences) Act regulations against throwing objects, chanting indecent or racist slogans, and unauthorized entry onto the pitch. Breaching these regulations can lead to serious consequences, including a Banning Order.
Darlington FC aims to foster a supportive, inclusive environment for all. We ask fair-minded fans to help maintain this standard by reporting any discriminatory incidents in confidence via email (report@darlingtonfc.org), through our text service (07897031883), or by speaking to Supporter Liaison Officers Rob Duncan and Andrew Scullion.
We continue to collaborate with organizations like Her Game Too and Kick It Out, as well as with law enforcement, to eliminate discrimination from our matches. Thank you for your cooperation in creating a safe, respectful space for everyone.
