The victim, a mother, revealed that she and her four-year-old daughter sustained injuries in the crash, including a fractured hip and severe burns. She recounted the terrifying moment of the accident, emphasizing her struggle to escape the vehicle.
In a statement from her family directed at Mam, they expressed that his career in football comes with responsibilities, urging him to appreciate the privilege of playing professionally.
According to Canberra lawyer Tom Taylor, while Mam has not yet been charged, the investigation could lead to serious consequences due to allegations of unlicensed driving and failing a drug test. The final charges will depend on the evidence collected.
