Broncos Trade OLB Baron Browning to Cardinals for Sixth-Round Draft Pick

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Just ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline, the Broncos have struck a deal with the Arizona Cardinals, sending outside linebacker Baron Browning to Arizona in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round draft pick, pending a physical.

Browning, a 2021 third-round pick, has accumulated 9.5 sacks across 43 games in his career. In the current season, he registered seven tackles and one tackle for loss over five games, including two starts, before landing on injured reserve after Week 2. His absence saw Nik Bonitto take over the starting role, where Bonitto has since recorded six sacks in seven games.

Denver’s outside linebacker rotation remains solid, featuring veteran Jonathon Cooper, third-round pick Jonah Elliss, and first-year player Dondrea Tillman. Cooper leads with 5.5 sacks, Elliss has two in his debut season, and Tillman has contributed two sacks as of Week 9.
