The Sydney Roosters are excited to announce that halfback Sam Walker has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until at least the end of 2027. Since his NRL debut in 2021, Walker has become an integral part of the team, making 77 top-grade appearances despite being sidelined by an ACL injury late in the 2024 season.
“I’m really happy to extend with the Roosters. This club feels like home, and I’m grateful for the support of ‘Robbo’, my teammates, and the staff,” Walker shared. He also expressed his eagerness to return to training later this month to focus on his rehab and contribute to the team’s success.
Roosters Director of Football, Mitchell Aubusson, expressed his satisfaction with keeping Walker as a core member of the club’s future plans, praising his dedication to both his game and his teammates. “Sam is a well-loved member of the club, and we’re excited to have him continue with us for the long term,” Aubusson said.
