As he begins his first season as Parramatta’s manager, Jason Ryles reveals he has not decided on his captain, fullback, hooker, or where Zac Lomax would play.

The inexperienced coach has already permitted Reagan Campbell-Gillard to leave early, allowing captain and the team’s most influential player, Clint Gutherson, to walk, and has a number of players on their last year of contracts.
In the last two weeks, he has also acquired Josh Addo-Carr from Canterbury, after the Bulldogs fired the winger after he tested positive for drugs on the side of the road.
Ryles is confident that he had no intention of clearing the decks, even if he acknowledged that his past with Addo-Carr at Melbourne played a role in his decision to recruit the former Test player.

Ryles stated that “the players will have a huge influence on who is the next captain.”
