The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce that Zali Fay, their standout winger, has committed to the team through the conclusion of the 2026 season by extending her contract.
Fay has been a prominent player ever since joining the squad three seasons ago; this year, he won the Dally M NRLW Try of the Year award.
Mark O’Neill, general manager of football, said the team was thrilled that Zali had decided to stay.
“Zali is an important member of our club’s culture in addition to being an outstanding athlete,” he stated. “She is a vital member of our NRLW program as we continue to build it because of her abilities on the field and dedication to her fitness and the team.”
Building on a stellar career that was capped off by her amazing try against the Roosters, Fay will play in her 25th NRLW milestone game to commemorate her fourth season with the Eels.
Zali Fay declared, “Look, I’m so excited to be staying in Paradise.”
Wearing this jersey again means a lot to me as a one-club player; being somewhere else would feel weird.
It’s been a few years in the making, but I feel like we are closer than ever, so I’m thrilled to have this opportunity. I’m really excited about this season, and our supporters should be too,” she continued.
On Thursday, July 3, 2025, the Parramatta Eels will play their first game of the 2025 NRLW season against the Cronulla Sharks.
