Alan Myers claims that Graham Potter, who has been connected to the Everton position, is the front-runner to succeed him at Leicester City.
On November 25, the news editor for Sky Sports stated that Sean Dyche still has Farhad Moshiri’s backing and that the Friedkin Group’s main goal is to finish the transaction and receive approval from the Premier League.
Graham Potter, the former manager of Brighton and Chelsea, has been heavily connected to Everton, but he is currently the front-runner for the recently open position at Leicester City, according to Myers’ post.
“I’ve been informed that TFG is focussing entirely on finishing the Premier League ownership process and securing their administrative positions in preparation for a deal completion in mid-December.”
Sean Dyche will be at Everton until the takeover is completed
Due to strategic and financial factors, Dyche’s chances of getting fired are now low.
Terminating his contract will necessitate payment, which could be seen as an expense that conflicts with Everton’s present financial status or the ambitions of the incoming Friedkin Group.
Farhad Moshiri would be more concerned with making it easier for TFG to take over than with becoming involved in management choices at this point.
He is interested in accelerating the ownership transfer, especially since the Premier League is now approving the takeover.
Although the Friedkin Group may have different management philosophies once they take over, which is anticipated to happen in mid-December, stability is likely favoured in the interim to avoid additional financial outlays and to maintain the team’s focus on performance rather than change.
It’s certainly not what the Evertonians want as they’ve grown sick and tired of the team’s style of football.
