The 2024 Dally M NRLW Try of the Year award went to her.
The Eels and Fay have reached an arrangement that will keep her with the team through the end of the 2026 NRLW season, even though she is already signed through the end of the current one.
Fay remarked, “Look, I’m so happy to be staying in Paradise.”
Wearing this jersey again means a lot to me as a one-club player; being somewhere else would feel weird.
“I’m thrilled to have this chance. I feel like we are closer than ever, even if it has been a few years in the making. I’m really excited about this season, and our supporters should be too.”
Fay, who has been with the Eels for the last three seasons and even played in the 2022 NRLW Grand Final against the Knights, is a top performer in the jumper position.
In her 25th game in the competition, the U18s NSW Blues representative earned the 2024 Dally M NRLW Try of the Year with a spectacular four-pointer against the Sydney Roosters NRLW.
Mark O’Neill, general manager of football, stated, “Zali is not only a superb athlete but also an essential part of our club’s culture.”
As we work to improve our NRLW program, she is an essential player because of her abilities on the field and dedication to her health and the team.
