Check out the most recent injury updates as Tottenham gets ready for Thursday night’s Europa League matchup against AS Roma.
Following a decisive victory in the Premier League over the weekend, Tottenham is now getting ready for Europa League play. After a dismal start to the season, Spurs easily defeated Manchester City in a much-needed statement victory.
For Ange Postecoglou’s team, consistency is now crucial, but they must first play AS Roma, the Italian powerhouse, in the Europa League. Here, we provide the most recent injury reports pertaining to both teams.
Eldor Shomurodov – Out
Early December is when Shomurodov is anticipated to recover from a muscle injury.
Mario Hermoso – Doubt
Due to a muscle ailment, Hermoso is doubtful and was not present during the weekend’s loss to Napoli.
Alexis Saelemaekers – Doubt
Saelemaekers will be a doubt today due to an ankle issue that has prevented him from playing recently.
Richarlison – Out
Postecoglou stated: “Richarlison, hopefully, he’ll be back in the New Year but, again, similar to Micky (van de Ven), we’ve got to be careful every step of the way.” Richarlison won’t return until the new year.
Rodrigo Bentancur – Available
Although Bentancur may currently be barred from Premier League games, FA suspensions do not apply to UEFA competition.
Micky van de Ven – Out
Van de Ven is still out and is probably going to come back in December. “Micky is still a good couple of weeks away,” Postecoglou stated late last week. Although he is training on the grass, he is still a few weeks away. We’re hopeful he’ll be back and playing by the middle of December.
Cristian Romero – Doubt
Prior to the match against City, Postecoglou stated of the centre-back: “Romero won’t be right for tomorrow’s game.” For next week, we’re hopeful he’ll be okay.
Mikey Moore – Doubt
Due to Moore’s ongoing illness, Postecoglou stated last week that Mickey will also be absent for a short while. He was severely afflicted by the illness, and since he is still young, we must exercise caution. We will spend some time with him even though he is back in the building.
After undergoing hamstring surgery, Odobert will be sidelined for a considerable amount of time.
