With great pleasure, the Parramatta Eels announce that Paige Travis, an England international and four-time St Helen’s RLFC Challenge Cup winner, has committed to the team through 2026.
The energetic second-rower expressed her excitement about travelling to Australia to play in the national rugby league women’s championship. She will be the first player from St Helen’s RLFC to compete in the NRLW.
Paige Travis declared, “I am excited to be joining the Parramatta Eels and to challenge myself in the NRLW.”
“As a team that plays with passion and for one another, the Eels have truly impressed me in the many NRLW games I’ve witnessed.
“Next year, I’m excited to meet the girls and contribute my experience to the squad,” she continued.
When Paige made the decision to join the Eels, club executives were overjoyed.
“The Parramatta Eels are thrilled to have a player like Paige Travis on board,” stated Mark O’Neill, general manager of football for the Parramatta Eels.
“Paige will be a great addition to our team because of her remarkable footwork and strength, as well as her extensive experience at the Test, World Cup, and club levels.
“When Paige takes to the pitch in the Blue & Gold and shows off some of that Lancashire magic, NRLW fans will be in for a treat,” he continued.
Paige Travis, who is well-known for her dinosaur hair plait and mischievous wink, began playing for Littleborough RUFC before joining St Helen’s RLFC at the age of 19.
With 65 games for St Helens RLFC and 8 caps for England, including the 2021 Rugby World Cup, her career to date is excellent.
Prior to joining the Parramatta Eels NRLW team at the club’s new Centre of Excellence in mid-2025, Paige Travis played for England against Wales at Headingly earlier this month and will be available for national selection in the historic Ashes series against Australia in Las Vegas.
