Brendan Hands’ contract with the Parramatta Eels has been extended to the conclusion of the 2026 season, and the team is thrilled to announce this news.
According to Mark O’Neill, general manager of football for the Parramatta Eels, Brendan has emerged as a vital member of the team.
“Brendan was one of our best players and participated in almost 20 NRL games last season. According to O’Neill, he can play a variety of positions and is a rushing danger out of dummy half.
“Brendan is a vital member of our team going forward and the epitome of professionalism; he always prioritises the club.”
Sean Russell, a winger, has also had his contract extended till the end of 2026.
Russell made his NRL debut for the Parramatta Eels in 2021 after progressing via the Pathways system. This year, he made his debut as a representative for the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII squad.
“We are particularly proud of Sean Russell’s extension because he is a product of our Elite pathways system, and as a result, our members and fans are very interested in his journey,” O’Neill said.
“Sean has improved his game tremendously, and it has shown in his performances all season long. The Prime Minister’s XIII selection was therefore a well-earned accolade. We are happy to have Sean continue to play for the Club because he is a fantastic team player with his best football still to come,” O’Neill continued.
