Following a terrible vehicle accident, West Ham has verified that Michail Antonio is “conscious and communicating.”

After pictures of a wrecked Ferrari started to surface online, the Premier League team released a statement expressing their “thoughts and prayers” for the 34-year-old forward.

The right side of a grey Ferrari has significant damage, according to photos taken at the scene of the collision.

West Ham confirmed the Jamaican international was involved in a collision shortly after the pictures started making the rounds on social media.

Antonio, whose previous teams include Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest, is thought to have been involved in an accident in the Essex region.

Dash cam footage is being sought by Essex Police as they look into the major incident that happened in Epping on Coppice Row just after 12.50 p.m.

The Ferrari has subsequently been recovered and is no longer at the scene of what is thought to have been a single car incident.

West Ham stated in a recent statement that the player is “conscious” following hospitalization.

“West Ham United can confirm that Michail Antonio is in a stable condition following a road traffic accident this afternoon in the Essex area,” the club said in a detailed statement.

Michael is presently being closely monitored at a hospital in central London and is conscious and able to communicate.

We respectfully request that everyone respect Michail and his family’s privacy at this trying time.

“The Club will provide an additional update in due course, but will not comment further tonight.”

According to Essex Police, the Roads Policing unit will now conduct an investigation into the collision.

The Hammers hosted Wolves on Monday night and were off on Saturday.

In 2019, on Christmas Day, the Premier League player was engaged in an automobile accident.

Dressed as a snowman, the football player lost control of his £210,000 Lamborghini Huracan and slammed it into a garbage shed of a family home in Balham, south London.

Antonio has previously discussed the crash’s financial effects.

Three years ago, he said, “I was having trouble getting insurance this year.” Nobody wants to buy me insurance!

I had to see a specialty insurance provider, so this year’s coverage is insane! I now own a G63. They offered to cover my [Audi] A3 for £10,000. Alternatively, they offered me a G63, which would cost twice as much but would allow me to drive a G63 instead of an A3.

Paying £20,000 to drive a G63 is preferable to paying £10,000 to drive an A3.

It was the day of Christmas. It has still caused me pain. That automobile is missed. In essence, I was operating a vehicle, but the road was slick.

On a 30 mph road, I was traveling between 30 and 35 mph since the car turns well and holds the road. I’ll just go around the corner, like I always do, as it has corners I don’t think I need to break.

But as I turn the corner, it skids, so I slam on the brakes and s*** myself, which is the worst thing you can do on ice because you’re supposed to just go with the flow. “So I slam on the brakes, skid, and go up on the curb – but I don’t really remember it, everything just happened so fast.” “Then smoke comes out of the front of the car, and the engine is in the back, so I’m thinking ‘the car is going to blow up!’ despite the fact that it’s just the airbags.”

I must thus leap from the passenger side of the small vehicle. It’s insane.

The problem is that I was also dressed as a snowman. Sort it out; I don’t understand why I didn’t remove it inside.

So far this season, Antonio has been a constant member of West Ham’s Premier League squad.

The 34-year-old has made 15 appearances for West Ham this season across all competitions, tallying one goal.

Antonio has scored 68 goals in the Premier League, making him West Ham’s all-time best scorer.

The forward was a member of the team that won the UEFA Conference League in 2017 after joining the team from Nottingham Forest in 2015.

In 2017, he was again recognized as the team’s Player of the Year.

Antonio, a father of four, disclosed earlier this year that he was receiving therapy after losing interest in football to the point where he had previously hoped that he would be injured.

The 34-year-old’s divorce from his ex-wife was causing him to feel more and more stressed.

Antonio revealed, “I was going through my divorce and stuff, and I honestly couldn’t get my head around it.”

Following our victory, the entire team went out, including David Moyes, the coach, who got heated. A few boys went two days without sleep and simply became wasted.

I returned to the hotel while dozing off on the coach. Everything that was happening outside of my football game had simply exhausted my mind, so I returned to the hotel and fell asleep while everyone else was out having a good time.

“Oh my God, I’ve won a European championship” wasn’t something I truly felt until December, when I was in a better place.

At one game in December 2022, the forward said he kept thinking, ‘I’m not enjoying football.’

I thought, ‘I’m really not enjoying this,’ during the game. I simply felt so bad. Personally, I’m a really upbeat person.

I believe it wasn’t until March or April that I managed to score from December. And I simply felt exhausted. Then, for some odd reason, I was loving football with Jamaica, so I left with them. In fact, though, I prayed for an injury.

“I just want to get hurt, I want some time off,” I said.

It’s all those things that keep going around in your head. “Is this the end for me?” you ask yourself. Is my football career coming to an end?

I began going to therapy because I was having a lot of trouble. And it never existed in my upbringing. I believed that treatment was only for insane people. However, treatment transformed my life. I won’t lie, it was awkward at first. “How are you?” someone asks you as you sit in the room.

And “Fine” is your default answer. ‘So why are you here?’ he asks. I replied, “To be honest, like, football, I’m struggling with football, I split up with my missus” .’
