Things have gotten worse for Wolves’ fighter Mario Lemina, who was removed of the captaincy after the final whistle incident in Monday night’s match against West Ham.This followed his encounter with Jarrod Bowen of West Ham, whose shirt-pulling and Judo-style “throwing to the ground” were live-streamed on Sky.
Following the 2-1 victory, Hammers captain Bowen went to shake hands with Lemina, but Lemina was not in the mood for sportsmanship, and the two got into a brawl. The referee gave them both yellow cards after they both went sprawling.
According to Birminghamworld.co.uk, Lemina undoubtedly has the drive to perform as captain, but following the 2-1 loss to West Ham United, he allowed his emotions to control him. Although O’Neil hasn’t stated it was the cause of the move, it probably had some influence.
Naturally, Jarrod Bowen is still in his position at London Stadium, and his reputation has grown as a result of the Wolves captain’s attempt to ignore the sportsmanship gesture. Nelson Semedo has now been named captain by Wolves manager O’Neil for what may be his final game as manager against Ipswich Town this weekend.
