Caleb Williams Has Reportedly Made A D

The 2024 NFL Draft is just over three months away, and the Chicago Bears have the No. 1 pick, at least for now.

Unless they trade that No. 1 pick, as they did last year, they will have the opportunity to give themselves a major upgrade at the quarterback position over Justin Fields, who has failed to show any significant improvement in three pro seasons.

Caleb Williams, the sensational University of Southern California quarterback, is expected to be the first player taken in the draft, and some have been wondering who he will hire as his agent.

On Monday, he officially declared himself eligible for the draft, but according to Ari Meirov, he’s unlikely to hire a certified agent.

Not having an agent isn’t unprecedented, but remains a notable decision for such a young player.

Williams transferred to USC for the 2022 season, where he threw for 4,537 yards and 42 touchdowns, which earned him the Heisman Trophy.

This past season, he registered 3,333 passing yards, 30 passing touchdowns, and 11 rushing touchdowns in 12 games for the Trojans.

At 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds, Williams isn’t the most physically imposing quarterback, but people have high hopes for him as he prepares for the next level of football.

The Bears went 7-10 this season and have the No. 1 pick by virtue of trading last year’s No. 1 pick, which was used on Bryce Young, to the Carolina Panthers.
