A camera captured the moment an Eagles fan hurled popcorn at coach Nick Sirianni as he was leaving Raymond James Stadium following the Philadelphia Eagles’ Monday night loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
“You’re done, Nick,” the guy wearing Eagles attire was heard saying in the background of the footage.
The culprit looked like a man donning a Philadelphia helmet and a No. 7 Haason Redick jersey. The man was quickly recognized by ground security, who also pointed him out and went into the stands to pursue him. The man made a hasty attempt to climb the stairs and get away through the mob. He didn’t seem to be very successful.
What kind of discipline the fan received is unknown.
After the Eagles’ 31.9 defeat, Sirianni came under heavy fire from the team’s supporters, particularly considering how the squad played in the last few weeks of the regular season. After making it to the Super Bowl the previous season, Philadelphia began the current campaign 10-1.
