The forward is on a train and trial contract for the preseason.
After a successful off-season, veteran forward Nathan Brown was promoted to the Manly Sea Eagles’ Top 30 for 2024.
The middle forward only played one season at Bondi before leaving the Parramatta Eels at the end of 2022 to sign with the Sydney Roosters after learning he was not wanted by the blue and gold.
Before agreeing to a train and trial contract with the Sea Eagles for the off-season, where he might strive for a Top 30 deal to continue his career, he only managed 10 first-grade games.
The 30-year-old was successful in that endeavor, earning a contract upgrade in Anthony Seibold’s team. Christian Tuipulotu’s departure last week created an opening for the position.
“I adore his demeanor,There’s an intensity to the way he’s pursued it because he has a point to make. Following a convincing victory against the Rabbitohs in a preseason trial game played at Central Coast Stadium over the weekend, head coach Anthony Seibold commented”In his own words, not mine: he wants to show a few times that he still belongs at this level after two poor seasons.
A player who still possesses ambition and fire in their gut can be quite effective for you.
“We wanted to reward him and upgrade him to our top 30, which we are able to do. I can only go on what I’ve seen over the last 12 weeks, and he’s taken this opportunity.”
Prior to joining Parramatta in 2017, Brown, a former two-time representative for the New South Wales Blues, played for the Wests Tigers and South Sydney Rabbitohs. He has 148 NRL games under his belt since making his NRL debut in 2013.
