On Monday night, standout rookie Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs achieved a triple-double, but he did so with 10 blocks rather than the more typical assists.
In just 29 minutes of play, the 7-foot-4 Wembanyama had 27 points, 14 rebounds, 10 blocks, and five assists to help triumph against the Toronto Raptors.
The Spurs, who are presently 16.5 games away of a position in the Play-In Tournament, are the poorest club in the Western Conference and the third-worst team in the NBA.
Wembanyama is therefore the star player on a squad that isn’t really competing for a postseason spot.
