Giants Injury Report: Week 15: Evan Neal is questionable

For the team’s game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, New York Giants tackle Evan Neal is questionable.

This week marks the first time Neal, who has been dealing with an ankle injury, has been able to practice since the injury he sustained more than a month ago during the Giants’ loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

After exercising on a limited basis this week, tight end Darren Waller—who was placed on injured reserve on Thursday—is listed as questionable. Waller missed five games due to a hamstring injury. If Waller is healthy, the Giants will put him on a pitch count on Sunday; if not, they will need to make room on the roster.

Earlier this week, Waller expressed to reporters his optimism of receiving permission to go back.

“What I want to do, and what I’ve been used to doing, is like 70-80 snaps a game,” he stated. “So, coming out the first week, probably not that, but as far as a number that’s solid that can contribute in whatever ways he needs me to contribute but also be fresh, assuming that’s realistic, but yeah, I plan on contributing given the opportunity.”

Three additional names—all of whom had minimal participation in practice—were added to the injury report. Wan’Dale Robinson, the wide receiver, was rated as doubtful due to a calf injury; Cam Brown, the linebacker, was limited due to a hamstring injury.

Brown and Robinson were not given injury designations. Dexter Lawrence, an interior defensive lineman, was classified as “questionable” due to a hamstring injury. He was also listed as a limited participant.
