UCLA is set to enter the foreign,

Next year, UCLA will go to the strange, wintry, and awfully Midwest to play in the Big Ten. Even though the Bruins have some historical ties to many of these teams, it will still be a big adjustment for UCLA to go from the cozy familiarity of, say, playing Washington State virtually every year to the strange and, to be honest, somewhat terrifying prospect of having to play Iowa frequently. What happens if you play for Iowa and get covered in Iowa football? It is impossible to tidy up such a mess.

In an attempt to address some of the trickier Big Ten inquiries (such as “Is Minnesota a state or a city?” Are there any differences between the I-states? We thought it would be beneficial to put up a program introduction for each of the prospective Big Ten opponents for the Bruins (are there any other places except Chicago?).

Our prior journeys:

Although Iowa remains outside of the NCAA Tournament, a victory over Northwestern on Saturday at 4:30 PM CT on the Big Ten Network in Evanston could help the Hawkeyes’ status.

The Wildcats are coming off a road victory against Maryland, while Iowa is coming off a victory over Penn State at home.

Iowa is rated as the “next four out” in a number of NCAA Tournament predictions, with a record of 17-12 overall and 9-9 in Big Ten play. Despite being ranked eighth in the Bracket Matrix, the Wildcats are still vying for a spot in the Big Ten Tournament and would want to avoid losing at home.

In conference play, Northwestern is unbeaten at home, while Iowa is 3-6 away from home in Big Ten play.

Let’s get started with the match.
