Kevin Durant alone is more than enough to make the Phoenix Suns competitors in the Western Conference, even though they are in risk of losing to the Play-In Tournament. For this reason, following the All-Star forward’s most recent victory over the Denver Nuggets, Skip Bayless awarded him a new moniker.
As the two clubs compete for a better postseason seed, the Suns traveled to Denver. Unfortunately for the Nuggets, Durant took charge of the contest and made sure Phoenix won.
Durant finished the game with 35 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Surprisingly, Grayson Allen replaced Devin Booker, who was unable to play, with 28 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Bradley Beal, meanwhile, finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists.
In the losing effort, Nikola Jokic finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds, and Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 28 points and nine assists. Denver now sits in third place in the Western Conference with a 42-20 record, while Phoenix is in sixth place with a 36-26 record.

Expect the two-time MVP and the Suns to step up their play in the upcoming weeks as the playoffs draw nearer. In order to give Phoenix a strong seed, supporters may even perceive the All-Star forward as a true killer dog.
