Cowboys: Given the most recent injury news, Micah Parsons might be in for a huge game.

In Week 16, the Dallas Cowboys go to the East Coast to play the Miami Dolphins, and they have an extremely difficult task ahead of them.

With one of the most potent attacks in the NFL, it’s a winning club that can travel. Even writing it down gives me a headache. Tua Tagovailoa is firing the ball fast, and I have to stop Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill on the boundary as they run a misdirection-heavy rushing game. Tyreek Hill may make a comeback this weekend.

However, before to the showdown, some significant information that might alter everything was released on Wednesday: In practice, the Dolphins had far too many players out with injuries.

The Dolphins’ starting offensive lines were all absent from Wednesday’s practice.
Fans of the Dolphins were alarmed when they did not see five of the team’s starting offensive lineman during Wednesday’s practice, according to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe. Even if it’s early in the week, this is definitely not the best way to get things going.

Thanks quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s decisiveness and quick throws, Miami’s fast attack has been able to counteract its opponents’ pass rush. As of Week 16, he holds the NFL record for the fastest throw time.

But Micah Parsons and company might spoil Tua’s Christmas Eve game if his offensive line is put to the test against strong coverage and the team is without several players up front. According to PFF, Micah leads the league in pressures with 89 and is second in pass rush win rate, and the Cowboys are still the third-best graded pass rush squad in the NFL.

Michael Gallup: Stats, Injury News & Fantasy Projections

Quinn will enjoy himself immensely moving him around the line of scrimmage to take advantage of mismatches if Miami is without many lineman on Sunday.

The Dolphins were also without star wide receiver Tyreek Hill, starting cornerback Xavien Howard, and two of the best running backs in the league, Raheem Mostert (who receives weekly vet days) and De’Von Achane.

Although Dan Quinn’s defensive line hits differently, Miami has historically been able to overcome offensive line injuries. And after getting thrashed by the Buffalo Bills, they will be even more hungry.

Running the football was a smart move by the Bills against this Cowboys squad, and although the Dolphins may rely on it, it will be difficult with an injured offensive line.

The injury reports for the Cowboys and Dolphins should be closely monitored over the coming days, as both teams are eager to win on Sunday. We won’t know more about what to anticipate until the weekend.
