This at least the newspaper stated on page 54 of its print edition on Sunday, March 31st, that the 38-year-old, who has shown promise in multiple Premier League roles this season, is keen to continue playing until he 0 years old.

Will Ashley Young complete a summer transfer switch or sign a new deal with Everton?
Young hasn’t been flawless for Everton this season, and the veteran has drawn criticism for occasionally displaying his age, especially in the larger games, from both fans and analysts.
The 38-year-old appeared to be significantly off of pace against Liverpool in this season’s Merseyside derby, as he was constantly harassed by Luis Diaz until being sent off for a careless challenge in the first half-hour.
However, Young is more than capable of continuing to play a significant role in Dyche’s squad for another season given his experience and versatility as a backline and attacking player.
It’s debatable if he should be the star of the show every week at Goodison Park, but given his set-piece talent, it might be worthwhile to give him a one-year contract to assist him cross the 40-year barrier.
Although it’s unlikely that a decision about Young’s future will be made anytime soon given the amount of off-field uncertainty that currently surrounds the situation, the Toffees now have complete control over the situation.
