Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, made headlines again on Tuesday.
His most recent remarks on Real Madrid’s continued pursuit of Kylian Mbappé are mostly to blame.
Naturally, Mbappé, the frontman, has been in negotiations with the Spanish capital’s hierarchy for a number of months.
This is in preparation for a summertime alliance once his current contract with Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain expires.
Even though it’s thought of as more of a formality to complete, no official confirmation has been provided as of yet.
Thus, it was somewhat unexpected when the previously mentioned Javier Tebas revealed Mbappé’s move to Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday.
In an interview with the Argentine publication Diario Olé, the president of La Liga spoke on the much-discussed arrival in Spain of another outstanding player in the world of football.
Tebas also did not waste any time in announcing that Mbappé, who has committed to terms with the Champions League finalists through the summer of 2029, has already signed with Real Madrid:
“Mbappé is already a Real Madrid player. He’s going to be in Spain for the next five seasons, starting with the next one.
