According to insiders who spoke to Football Insider, Bayern Munich is keeping an eye on John Stones, a star for Man City, as they prepare for yet another incredible Premier League raid.
According to Football Insider, negotiations took occurred over night, and Vincent Kompany is expected to be named the new Bayern manager. This could facilitate the sale.
Having played with the 29-year-old defender for City, Kompany has a great deal of respect for him.
Stones’ lack of playing time this season has left him “very unhappy,” according to a Football Insider story from May 13 that suggested Bayern would consider making a bid.
Bayern Munich is interested in signing Man City’s John Stones.
Between March until the end of the season, Stones only started one Premier League match for City. Throughout the season, he made just 26 appearances for the team across all competitions.
Although Stones is expected to start for Gareth Southgate at the European Championship, there are rumors that he is worried about his long-term future with England.
Given that Bayern has previously recruited Eric Dier and Harry Kane, two of his England international teammates, interest from the squad is intriguing.
The center defender may be able to leave the Etihad with two years remaining on his current contract.
After signing a £47.5 million contract to join the Etihad in 2016, Stones made 256 appearances for the team and won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, and a Champions League.
In other news, City’s attempts to sign Lucas Paqueta are too strong for West Ham to withstand.
