Everton is reportedly interested in signing a young youngster on loan from Arsenal, while Arsenal is looking to move on with a few players this summer. The Toffees’ takeover by 777 Partners looks to be falling apart, so they’re in for another difficult summer.
As a result, the Everton board is now searching for new investors or buyers, so the next several months will be extremely stressful for Toffees supporters.
That hasn’t stopped some transfer-related whispers from surfacing, though. Additionally, rumours suggest that Everton may now try to sign a forward on loan from Arsenal.
Everton keen on Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah
Several teams are reportedly interested in Nketiah, and Arsenal is willing to let him go this summer, according to a report from The Sun.
According to the report, Everton would be interested in signing Nketiah for a season-long loan if it were feasible.
For FFP purposes, Arsenal would rather sell in order to generate revenue; several other teams are also discussed.
Nketiah is reportedly valued at roughly £30 million by Arsenal, and it’s reported that Fulham is leading the race for him. Wolves and Crystal Palace may also enter the picture. It appears that Nketiah may finally be on his way.
Nketiah can shine elsewhere
Eddie Nketiah has undoubtedly persevered over the past few years at Arsenal and given it his all.
He did show signs of improvement last season, but he is still not quite where Arsenal needs him to be at this time. Given that, moving away would likely be best for him; a move to a team like Everton would be beneficial.
It would provide Nketiah the opportunity to play football on a regular basis and become a prominent player at last. He has been called a “incredible” talent, and there’s no doubt that he can score goals, but for the time being, he needs regular games.
