SchalkeZone says Rangers shouldn’t pursue a deal to sign Yusuf Kabadayi, a winger for Bayern Munich, this summer.

The Schalke fan-run news site stated in an interview with the Rangers Review that a move to Ibrox would be “too big” for the 20-year-old at this point in his career.

Kabadayi’s impact in Gelsenkirchen was only given a 5/10 by SchalkeZone, who stated that he only managed four goals and zero assists while struggling to be a productive player in a variety of positions.

On June 5, Florian Plettenberg made the first connection between the Germany under-20 wideman and the Gers. However, SchalkeZone’s interview suggests that he is not yet ready to make a major contributor to Philippe Clement’s title-chasing team.

Rangers ready to make big changes out wide next season

The fact that Clement is in charge of a much-needed revamp of the current team at Ibrox may make the Gers want to explore a trade for Kabadayi this summer.

With loan players Abdallah Sima and Fabio Silva returning to their parent clubs and Kemar Roofe leaving on a free transfer, the changes in the attacking third have already started to happen quickly.

Oscar Cortes, a 20-year-old winger, has agreed to return to Ibrox for another season-long loan with the possibility of a permanent move at a later date [Daily Record].

Due to Ross McCausland’s late-season rise in form, Clement may only have Tom Lawrence, Cortes, Rabbi Matondo, and Scott Wright as possibilities if he decides to make the transfer, as suggested by a number of experts.

The Belgian’s focus has been on defense thus far in this transfer window, but as interest in his wide attacking stock grows, Clement might be eager for Rangers to look into a trade for Kabadayi [The Scotsman], another talented forward.
