Following his loan stint at Real Sociedad and return to Arsenal, Alan Hutton has talked about Kieran Tierney’s future.
Tierney is no longer in Arsenal’s plans at the Emirates, thus he is currently looking for a new home.
Three seasons ago, the left-back was seen to be among the finest in the Premier League, but he has battled to sustain his form over the past two seasons.
Tierney had a respectable career at Sociedad, but his playing time was limited by injuries, which perhaps made the Spanish team decide against signing him to a long-term contract.
Tierney is now focused on finding a new team, although at this point, no teams are interested in signing him.
Celtic is one team that would be delighted to have him back, and Hutton thinks that joining his boyhood club could help Tierney revitalize his career.
But Celtic might not have the funds to sign him long-term, so a loan move might be a more practical choice.
To Football Insider, he says:
He’d be pleased to return, and it’s something he’d like to do, but it would be very costly.
“A loan might be an option, but he might view it as a step back for himself. If they could bring him back, he would be a fantastic player.
Just Arsenal Opinion
Due to his lackluster performance while on loan in Spain, Tierney’s choices have been restricted. Now maybe he could go back to Scotland.
