Ben Jacobs reports that Everton is pressing for a speedy resolution in their pursuit of Chelsea attacker Armando Broja.
On June 9, the journalist revealed on Twitter that the Toffees are negotiating with the Stamford Bridge team for the Albanian international, with a goal of signing him for a sum of £30 million.
A deal for Broja would intensify rumors that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a standout forward for Everton, is set to leave the team. On June 1, TBR Football reported that the Chelsea player was being considered as a potential replacement.
The Toffees player is desired at Newcastle, according to The Telegraph (May 23). He has one year remaining on his current contract and has been offered an extension, but he hasn’t signed yet.
“Everton are pushing to sign Armando Broja,” wrote Jacobs. Club and Chelsea are in frequent contact; a £30 million package was explored. EFC is hoping for a speedy discovery.
