The Tottenham Hotspur players returned to the club in recent days to begin their pre-season preparations. However, one young striker was a notable absence, and it is believed it could because a transfer away from the club is in the offing.

There is growing evidence that Troy Parrott is about to leave the Spurs. First of all, he was not included among the players that attended Hotspur Way’s inaugural summer training session last weekend, according to a roster made public by Football.London.
Though Parrott tweeted a photograph from the club’s gym where he looked to be alone, it appears the Irishman was at the training facility in a post on his own social media account.
According to rumors, this is because AZ Alkmaar of the Netherlands is reportedly planning an offer for him, and he has already been the target of a proposal from another club this summer.
Paul O’Keefe, a Spurs insider, verified this in responses to two different blogs on social media lately, saying that Alkmaar is about to make a bid.

Balls has already been informed by Parrott himself whether or not such action is implemented.i.e., that he feels comfortable in that league and appreciates the Dutch football style.
Despite making 32 appearances for Excelsior Rotterdam last season (Transfermarkt), Parrott scored 17 goals and provided five assists, but he was unable to keep the team out of the Eredivisie.
Alasdair Gold said in a recent Q&A that he thinks Parrott is more likely to depart Spurs this summer than to stay with the team.

Although I’m interested in seeing what Parrott can achieve, I genuinely think he’s not quite Premier League caliber.
