Santiago Gimenez hints at potential Feyenoord exit

In order to replace Harry Kane at White Hart Lane for the upcoming season, Tottenham Hotspur has been searching for a marquee striker. As of right now, they have narrowed down their options to a few prospects. One of those prospects is Mexican international Santiago Gimenez.

The player has been heavily linked to a summer transfer to Spurs, and he has now openly stated his intention in going somewhere that aligns with his sports goals.

Gimenez fuels Spurs transfer speculation

“Absolutely wonderful” With 23 goals and 6 assists in 30 games, Santiago Gimenez is now the third-highest goal scorer in the Dutch top division. He has had an outstanding season with Feyenoord.

Gimenez said the following to Voetbal Primeur, as reported by TEAMtalk:

“There is interest from other clubs, but nothing serious, no offer, or anything like that. So, I focus on the here and now. If there is an opportunity that compares to Feyenoord, then I have to look at it. After that, we’ll see. I’m an ambitious person, but I’m still here, and I have a contract. I’ll do my best for the club until the last day I’m here. The only one who knows whether I am ready for the next step or not is God. He determines my future and whether I am ready for it. I have told CEO  Dennis [te Kloese] and manager Brian [Priske] that they do not have to worry about my focu

The striker, who was born in Buenos Aires, has a deal with his present team through 2027, however he may decide to leave Feyenoord this summer.

Along with the Premier League heavyweights, Spanish and Italian teams have shown interest; however, the start has verified that no formal bids have been made as of yet.

He talked about his dedication to his current position at Feyenoord while also expressing an openness to considering other opportunities that fit with his goals and the standing of his current company. Giminez did mention the club’s interests, but he did not mention any by name. He also made a suggestion that he would only think about leaving if the appropriate chance presented itself.

According to this remark, the striker is prepared to give Feyenoord his all until a deal is struck about a possible exit. He is clearly devoted to the Dutch team.
