Last night we had a little rant about the entitlement of the “Big Six” clubs based in London that they feel they can just take any player they want.

Although it was obviously exaggerated, there was some truth behind it.

If you will, picture yourself as the manager of a football team that signs a young, talented striker for about £32 million, expecting him to be the next Alan Shearer, only to discover he’s instead the next Emile Heskey.

Would you have the gall to think that trying to trade this misfiring striker to a rival Premier League team in exchange for their star striker who has an incredible minutes-per-goal ratio would be your best chance of getting out of this self-made mess?

Another ludicrous Chelsea swap deal has been mooted for Alexander Isak

It was reported yesterday that Chelsea planned to take advantage of Newcastle’s interest in Noni Madueke to arrange a cash-plus-Madueke trade for Alexander Isak.

Nicolas Jackson is the makeweight in a similar narrative that Give Me Sport has recommended for tonight.

Why in the world would Newcastle consider trading one of the Premier League’s top natural finishers for a striker who appears to believe that placing the ball outside the goal posts is the best way to score?

Nope. No. Nah. Not happening

No matter how much money they throw in as part of the transaction, Newcastle would never accept it, really. It would be preferable if we just completed a monetary transaction.

To be fair to Jackson, though, if he left Chelsea, he would undoubtedly be fired, so it would not be such a horrible bargain. Still, selling Isak under any circumstances is completely off the table.

We came across an article today stating that Chelsea had signed 35 players in the previous two years. That is really insane. Yoshinori Muto was signed by Newcastle in 2018 if you traced the team’s history back 35 signings, as one Newcastle supporter noted.

We really adore the fact that Chelsea is spending so much money and yet they keep going worse (however within PSR). Perhaps spend more than ten minutes with a management, huh?
