Liverpool considering Fabio Carvalho loan recall from forgettable RB Leipzig stint

Manchester City v RB Leipzig: Group G - UEFA Champions League 2023/24

After making a brief move from Anfield, the former Fulham player has struggled at the German team, earning only one Bundesliga start.

The Reds are weighing their options for the 21-year-old, who has made 12 appearances across all competitions but has not scored or left much of an impact, according to The Athletic.

According to the source, Carvalho is unlikely to feature for Liverpool again this season, but he will be loaned out to another team if the club decides to end his stay in Germany.

When speaking about the Liverpool player earlier this month, Leipzig manager Marco Rose sounded eager to work with him for the remainder of the season. “He’s a good boy, a good footballer. You can see his qualities,” Rose said of Carvalho. “He has real goals in front of him in his position. He’s close, but he has to stick with it. Then he’ll definitely get opportunities again and again, to show yourself.” RB Leipzig begin their winter break on December 19. A decision regarding the Portugal Under-21 star’s future is expected to be made then.

He is a valuable addition to our team and has been playing more recently. He must make use of this and perform well in training.
