Brendan Rodgers sends Celtic transfer message in publicBrendan Rodgers on Celtic recruitment plans as he talks 'quality' and 'not lots of numbers' - Glasgow Live

Celtic defeated Feyenoord 2-1 to record their biggest victory of the year. They defeated Anderlecht 3-0 to record their first Champions League victory since Brendan Rodgers was manager the previous time around. However, they hadn’t prevailed in the Parkhead competition in more than ten years.

Naturally, there was no stake in the outcome, and even though Celtic won, they still placed last in their group. Nevertheless, it ought to give the team more confidence since they have battled with consistency all season.

Ensuring that the team is further strengthened in January is crucial. The fact that we defeated Feyenoord does not imply that every issue that has arisen this season has been resolved.

Rodgers has repeatedly said in the open that the team has to be strengthened. And he continued to do so after the victory. Football Scotland noted that the Celtic manager stated at

“We know that having key players out has been difficult, but I’ve seen enough of our play and fighting throughout the season to know that, with more strength in this squad and quality added in key areas, we can build on this victory and look to qualify for next year’s competition and see if we can push for it.”

“You have to have certain qualities to perform at this level.”

For Celtic, the January transfer window will be crucial. They were knocked from the Scottish League Cup in the second round after making multiple mistakes in the league recently.

Many at the time dismissed it as just another unsatisfactory day at work. However, since then, this club has put up a number of lackluster performances, and they seldom appear to be in control of games.

However, Celtic’s victory over Feyenoord demonstrated that they are still very much a contender. They may be able to resurrect their finest efforts, but they do need some excellent starters in a few different places throughout the field. Will the January transfer window see those additions? Momentum
