New York Giants upset Green Bay Packers with thrilling game winner on Monday Night Football
For Tommy DeVito, the story keeps getting better.
On Monday Night Football, the rookie quarterback assisted in leading the New York Giants to their third consecutive victory in an otherwise miserable season, a 24-22 victory at home over the Green Bay Packers.
With 1:33 left in the game, the Giants were behind by a point. DeVito started the game-winning drive, finding Wan’Dale Robinson for a 32-yard gain that assisted in setting up Randy Bullock’s 37-yard field goal to give the Giants the victory.
With just over ninety-minutes remaining, the Packers scored on a touchdown pass from Jordan Love to Malik Heath after a fumble by Saquon Barkley, who had rushed for two scores on the night. It was an exciting victory.
However, the Giants’ retaliation merely ensured that the Packers’ own injuries would prevent them from winning. The Packers fumbled three times and gave up an interception during the contest.
The Packers’ chances of making the playoffs were dashed at 6-7 as their quest for the NFC’s last postseason berth became increasingly arduous.
Here’s how the Giants vs. Packers game unfolded throughout.
Tommy DeVito’s story continues as he leads the Giants (5-8) to victory for the third time in a row. The Packers’ hopes of making the playoffs are hurt tonight as they drop to 6-7.
