BREAKING NEWS;How did Zach Wilson fare, and why did the New York Jets mislead everyone over his injury?New York Jets News: Rodgers' return comes with complicated Jets hurdle - Gang Green Nation

There is now serious uncertainty regarding the damage sustained by New York’s quarterback following contradictory reports during the Jets’ Sunday loss to the Dolphins.

There will undoubtedly be some tough talks in New York’s camp after a crushing defeat on Sunday, along with a lot of talking points in the media. What precisely happened to Jets quarterback Zach Wilson and the reasons behind the team’s inability to provide a coherent tale about him will surely be among them.

Jets struggle to manage Zach Wilson’s injuries
Beating the Miami Dolphins, the AFC East opponents, was always going to be a difficult task for the New York Jets. The squad was not only suffering with a 5-8 record going into the game, but they were also playing on the road against the team that, as of kickoff, was leading the division with a 9-4 record. No, there’s not

Jets backup quarterback Trevor Siemian took over for starting quarterback Zach Wilson during the conclusion of the second quarter, and Wilson did not rejoin the game after halftime. In order to complete what ended up being a humiliating loss, Siemian stayed under center in the third quarter. Things start to become weird at this point. The Jets initially reported that Wilson had suffered a head injury, but later clarified that it was not a concussion. Wilson’s non-concussive head injury type was not disclosed, nor were any other details provided.

The team then announced that Wilson had been formally ruled out due to a concussion forty minutes later. It also gets worse. At the halftime break, Jets PRRobert Saleh, the head coach of the Jets, acknowledged that but expressed uncertainty about Wilson’s return. Wilson’s status was finally changed by the Jets during the third quarter from “dehydrated” to “head injury,” implying that he would not be making a comeback. The team did admit that Wilson had sustained a concussion in the fourth quarter, as the game was nearing its end. In case you were wondering, the Jets are out of the running for the playoffs as a result of their loss and the victories of the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns.

It’s true that Wilson did not play well; he completed 4 of 11 passes for 26 yards and lost a fumble. It would also be correct to state that the quarterback of the Jets, who was named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week, was not shielded by the defense. To be honest, he was repeatedly subjected to manhandling by the Dolphins. It goes without saying that this does not excuse the Jets’ perplexing handling of Wilson’s injury.

They may have done this because they were desperate for their starting signal caller to keep going. That would undoubtedly explain why it took so long to receive an official injury designation. However, one must wonder, “What’s going on in New York?” given that the Dolphins shut out the Jets without Tyreek Hill, their most effective weapon, on the field.
