Travis Kelce, a tight end with the Kansa

Travis Kelce, a tight end with the Kansas City Chiefs, is listed as questionable for Thursday’s Lions vs. Chiefs game because of an overextended knee.
Chiefs DT Chris Jones will not be playing and is on a holdout from a contract.
There will be no WR for the Lions. Jameson Williams has been suspended by the NFL for breaking the organization’s gambling policy.

NTheFL injury list for Thursday’s season opener between the visiting Detroit Lions and the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs is rather thin. However, after seeing the injury report for tonight’s Lions vs. Chiefs game, a few well-known players might not be playing.

Travis Kelce, an All-Pro tight end for the Chiefs, is at the top of the list. He hyperextended his knee during Tuesday’s practice, and as of right now, his availability for the match is uncertain.

Although two more players are not injured, their teams will suffer as a result of their absence. Chris Jones, a defensive tackle for the Chiefs, is awaiting a contract extension. Jameson Williams, a wide receiver for the Lions, is currently serving the first of a six-game NFL suspension for breaking the gambling policy of the league.

The Chiefs are positioned as 4.5-point home favorites over the Lions in the NFL betting line for this matchup.

*Update: Travis Kelce has been ruled out of tonight’s game as of 6:00 p.m. EST. Noah Gray would be next on the Chiefs’ tight end depth chart.

Lions In either case, Williams would have been out.
Williams would not have been in the Detroit lineup even if he hadn’t been suspended, despite the fact that it is his suspension that has him officially out of the game. He couldn’t have answered the bell if he had been available since he pulled his hamstring during preseason action.

Williams was chosen by the Lions in the first round of the NFL Draft from Alabama the previous year. But he missed the first 12 games of the 2022 season due to a knee injury.Player-Position Injury Game Status Detroit Lions Injury Report
