The Dallas Cowboys will need to make some decisions in 2024, but choose which of these three superstars to cut loose should be easy.

Initially, it seemed as though the Dallas Cowboys had lost their chance to win the NFC East. After suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the Buffalo Bills, they found themselves trailing the Philadelphia Eagles by a half-game at 10-4. Then, on Monday Night Football, Drew Lock led Seattle on a drive that ended the game, and the Eagles lost a game that they should have won.

Thanks to a tiebreaker, the Cowboys are once again in first place. They have the last three games of their schedule to worry about in addition to that tiebreaker, which may alter. As they concentrate on this, we look ahead to the 2024 season and the three players they must let go of in order to get better, beginning with the Miami Dolphins in Week 16.

3. Safety, Jayron Kearse
The Cowboys criminally underrated the safety position for many years. Dan Quinn’s appointment as defensive coordinator appeared to resolve the problem. The signing of Malik Hooker, Damonae Kazee, and Jayron Kearse came after his arrival.

After that, Hooker and Kearse received long-term contracts, while Donovan Wilson signed a contract this past offseason. They even displayed

Increase his contract in 2023 to show Kearse some love. Regretfully, things haven’t been the same with their secondary. That’s mostly because Kearse isn’t performing at the same level.

His PFF grade dropped from 75.9 and 71.9 in the previous two seasons to 47.3 this time. While he has been a liability in coverage, he is still a great run support player. In February, Kearse, who is entering free agency this summer, will turn thirty years old. Although he has contributed significantly to this defensive comeback, Dallas needs to move on if they want him to continue playing at a high level.
