Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry is on the hot seat, and by the looks of it, the fans are not the only ones who want him gone from his position.

According to the latest report from Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the “heat is on” Barry because the Packers’ defensive coordinator job is something that many other coaches will be eyein in the offseason.

Speaking of coordinators, during the next several weeks, a few positions will be carefully scrutinized. Joe Barry, the Packers’ DC, is under fire. Many people in the coaching field are considering that position, according to Fowler.

It doesn’t mean Joe Barry is safe, even though Green Packers head coach Matt LaFleur supported his defensive coordinator and refused to take him out of the defensive coordinator role, saying that now is not the time to discuss such matters.

Following their Week 15 defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, LaFleur responded, “At this time, we’re looking for solutions,” when questioned about Barry’s employment situation. Because, as I previously stated, it is really disheartening to play at home against a team that is leading their division when you’re trying to cling onto one of those slots and, you know, you lose badly in the second half of a close game. It is really disheartening.

As the problem has gotten worse, Matt LaFleur has disclosed that he is now going to take more initiative to prioritize communication among his players. Ultimately, for them to succeed, their offensive and defensive units must be in sync with one another.
