The 29-year-old reliever Kerr, who recorded a 30.7% strikeout rate in 22 games for San Diego the previous season, is highly valued by the Braves due to his potential. The fact that Kerr still has a Minor League option on his contract adds to his worth. With the addition of Aaron Bummer’s strong left arm this summer, the bullpen will be more flexible as a result. Three people are A.J. Minter, Tyler Matzek, and Dylan Lee.seasoned left-handers who are expected to be a part of Atlanta’s bullpen lineup in 2019. Thus, since Kerr is still under contract through 2029, the Braves can afford to be patient with him. The Braves had to take on Carpenter’s $5.5 million contract in order to get Kerr. Carpenter is most likely going to be moved.December 9: C Max A trade of Stassi and cash to the White Sox

One of the two terrible contracts that the Braves took on when they acquired Jarred Kelenic from the Mariners on Sunday belongs to White. He can start rebuilding his career with Triple-A Gwinnett if he’s healthy. White will continue to get the $7 million that is due to him in 2024, and Atlanta’s Competitive Balance Tax will be applied to his AAV.
