It’s not something that bulldogs typically have. Newsweek was informed by Fizz’s owner that it is caused by a “rare gene.” Although they are one of the most popular dog breeds in the United States, bulldogs still fall short of other, fluffier varieties.
Bulldogs rank sixth among the most popular dog breeds according to the American Kennel Club’s 2022 list, which is based on registration data from the biggest purebred dog registry in the world. Other popular breeds include German Shepherds, Poodles, and Golden Retrievers.
However, there might be a dog in Fizz that can compete with those breeds in terms of cuteness. He is undoubtedly well-liked on TikTok, where dog lovers are lining up to leave comments on a sweet video of him visiting his human friend.
“He reminds me of a teddy bear,” observed one devoted fan, while another remarked, “What in the world is the cuteness about?” I’m unable to handle that.”
“I just want to hug your beautiful and amazing dog,” exclaimed a third, and Fizz was called a “beautiful looking dog” by a fourth. “I’ve never seen a dog like that before,” one person said, while another wrote only “cuteness overload
According to Fizz’s owner, they found him online and brought him into their lives. “He came up on my mom’s phone when we were looking to buy a bulldog puppy,” they explained. “We fell in love with him and the man we got him from was living right near us.”
Fizz enjoys everything you would expect from a typical dog, including cuddles, according to his owner. “He loves to go on long walks and he loves to meet new people and new dogs,” they stated. “He also loves to play with his humans at home.”
.”
“I think it’s because no one has really seen a bulldog with fluffy fur before,” they replied. “He just has a rare gene that makes him fluffy so it’s cool to look at and I wanted to share him on social media because people in public would stop me just to take a picture of him and also everyone just gives him fuss when he’s out and he loves it.”
Even though Fizz’s following on TikTok is still growing, his owner is content to only share videos of the dog that bring “a lot of smiles on a lot of different faces” and has no intention of stopping anytime soon.
